Dear Brothers and Sisters:
In order to accommodate the various work schedules Teamsters Local 162 has scheduled two UPS contract explanation meetings at the Union hall.
These meetings are scheduled to take place after the National two-person meeting that is scheduled to take place in Chicago on August 9.
There have been some educational materials distributed on changes in the various contracts, and there has been a great deal of misinformation on social media. It is important for members to attend one of these meetings for a full explanation and review of all of the contracts. And further, to understand the intent of the contract language that has been negotiated and to get any answers to questions you may have.
If you are unable to attend one of these meetings you can, as always, reach out to your Local 162 Business Agent and we will make every effort to review the changes with you and answer any questions you may have.
